If the world is driven by irrationality and randomness,
wouldn't the Anthropocene be a chance
to counter this with intelligence and wisdom?
This work is based on a scientific dataset collected during the Swiss Antarctic Circumnavigation Expedition (ACE) as part of the scientific project "Quantifying precipitation and its contribution to surface freshening in the Southern Ocean".
While scientists use these data to gain scientific knowledge for the implementation of large-scale climate models, the artist generates her own climate images from them. Inspired by C.G. Jung, she brings perceptions from the subconscious to light and explores the following questions: Can these images exemplify the climate crisis? Can the intuitive arrangement of snowflakes lead us out of our disorientation and into a healing process? Her ambition is to change the behaviour of the spheres in which we move with her means in favour of a healthy planet.
